Arthur C. Munin

age 91, retired CFD Captain and U.S. Navy veteran (WWII Pacific theatre) died peacefully on October 2, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Peggy) (née O'Connell) Munin for more than 58 years. He was born in Chicago April 18, 1926. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis G. and Ida Munin and his brother Lt. Gene Munin who died in WWII May 1944. Art is survived by his brother Louis G. Munin and sister-in-law Audrey Munin. His six children love him dearly: Donna Munin Giacalone, Arthur C. Munin II (Donna Lee), Edward J. Munin (Susan), Kathy (George) Little, Eugene L. Munin (Kristin) and Therese (Mark) Schmisseur. Art was the proud grandfather of 16, including our little angel in heaven, Margaret Grace. He also had 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, October 6, 2017 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday, October 7, 2017 9:00 a.m. from Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th Street, Chicago Ridge to Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, 10731 W. 131st St., Orland Park, IL Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
